YSRCP demands SIT probe into Naganjali’s suicide

YSRCP State Women’s Wing President Varudu Kalyani
Rajamahendravaram, April 1: YSRCP State Women’s Wing President Varudu Kalyani, spokesperson Aare Shyamala, and former MP Margani Bharat Ram visited the family of Naganjali, who took her life at Bollineni Hospital in Rajahmundry. They expressed solidarity and criticized the state government and district administration for not responding ten days after the incident.
Kalyani questioned Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s silence, condemning the lack of action against the individual who harassed Nagaanjali, driving her to suicide. She called it deplorable that the victim was treated in the same hospital and demanded the CCTV footage be shown to her parents, urging a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe while pledging to fight for justice.
Shyamala highlighted the family’s distress, criticized the government’s inaction, and questioned Pawan Kalyan’s absence despite his stance against injustice to women. She demanded justice for Nagaanjali’s parents and better medical care for Anjali. Bharat Ram called for punishing Deepak, the accused, alleging his ties to the Telugu Desam Party explain the lack of action. He insisted on a thorough probe, noting Anjali couldn’t have injected herself, and urged scrutiny of Deepak’s past while holding all responsible and accountable.
Nagaanjali’s grieving parents demanded their daughter’s return in good health or the same injection for themselves, vowing to fight for justice. The delegation stressed the need for investigation, accountability, and justice, accusing authorities of negligence.
