DSC irregularities are real; YSRCP demands CBI probe

Tadepalli, May 31: YSRCP MLCs Lella Appi Reddy, Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy and Varudu Kalyani alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu government is avoiding answers on serious irregularities in DSC-2025 and resorting to diversionary politics instead. Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office, they said the government has failed to clarify repeated changes to merit lists, the private issuance of call letters through SMS, Sports Quota appointments, and reservation-related anomalies. They demanded a comprehensive CBI inquiry into the entire recruitment process.

The leaders questioned why Education Minister Nara Lokesh has remained silent despite growing concerns from lakhs of candidates. They alleged that merit lists were altered, rankings were not publicly disclosed, and several questionable sports categories were included under the Sports Quota. They also raised concerns over the case of an SCERT outsourcing employee who was reportedly involved in the DSC process, secured a top rank, and later had his details removed from the merit list, creating further suspicion.

Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy accused the government of attempting to divert attention from DSC irregularities through allegations related to Byju’s tablets distributed during the previous YSRCP government. He further alleged that horizontal reservation norms were not implemented properly and that several deserving candidates were denied appointments despite receiving call letters.

Varudu Kalyani said the government transformed the promised “Mega DSC” into a “Fraud DSC” by repeatedly changing Sports Quota rules and appointment criteria. She questioned how 421 appointments were made under the Sports Quota and why eligibility norms were later altered through fresh government orders. The YSRCP leaders maintained that only a CBI probe can uncover the truth behind the allegations and restore confidence among unemployed youth who appeared for the examination.
