Targeted oppression of Brahmins under the TDP regime

Tadepalli, June 7: Former MLA Malladi Vishnu has strongly condemned the rising incidents of targeted oppression against the Brahmin community under the TDP-led coalition government. He said that the government is treating Brahmins as weak and expendable, and the demolition of the historic Satavahana College in Vijayawada stands as a shocking example of this systematic marginalization.
Vishnu questioned the role of the police during the demolition. “When the college was being razed, what were the police doing? Why didn’t they intervene to protect public property?” he asked. He further pointed out that vital student certificates were buried under the rubble while the administration remained a silent spectator.
He exposed that a TDP MLC was involved in the kidnapping of a college representative in connection with this case, yet the government took no action. “All of this is part of a conspiracy to illegally grab the five-acre land belonging to the college,” Vishnu said.
He questioned whether court orders give the government a free hand to use brute force. “Are they targeting Brahmins because they think they are weak? Will they misuse the Red Book Constitution even against educational institutions?” he asked, taking a direct jab at Education Minister Nara Lokesh, demanding that he publicly respond to these developments.
“Why is Lokesh silent when land is being illegally seized? Why is he indifferent when injustice is meted out to Brahmins?” Vishnu asked, asserting that even the police refused to register a complaint despite formal representations.

Malladi Vishnu stated that the YSR Congress Party takes this issue very seriously and will launch a legal battle against those responsible for the illegal demolition and kidnapping. “Such atrocities never occurred during our government. Today, Vijayawada is witnessing the rule of force and fear,” he said, vowing to fight for justice and protect the rights of the marginalized.
