Naidu’s Madugula visit exposes Coalition’s failures: Muthyala Naidu

Anakapalli, August 23: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior YSRCP leader Budi Muthyala Naidu said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s Madugula visit was an utter failure, with no relief for farmers or answers on the coalition government’s unfulfilled promises.

Speaking to the media at Taruva in Anakapalli district, he said Naidu used the A. Koduru meeting to attack YS Jagan Mohan Reddy instead of explaining what his government had delivered to the region. The coalition had abandoned the Super Six promises and was now resorting to diversion politics to conceal its failures.

Muthyala Naidu said farmers had expected Naidu to announce payment of dues owed to Gowada Sugar Factory farmers, but the Chief Minister left without even addressing the issue. He said development undertaken during the YSRCP government was now being claimed by the coalition.

He challenged Naidu to produce evidence for his claim that 30,000 people died due to liquor during YSRCP rule. While YSRCP eliminated belt shops, the coalition had allowed liquor outlets to proliferate across villages, he said.

He said the English proficiency displayed by government-school students at the meeting was the result of YS Jagan’s English-medium reforms, which Naidu had once ridiculed.

On DSC irregularities, Muthyala Naidu said the government was raising the previous Group-1 recruitment only to divert attention from the DSC controversy under Education Minister Nara Lokesh. He challenged the government to accept YS Jagan’s demand and order a CBI inquiry into both DSC and Group-1 recruitments.

He said Naidu had betrayed farmers, students and the public by abandoning promises after securing power.
