Coalition’s extortion tactics jeopardize industrial progress

Tadepalli, July 30: Former MP and YSRCP PAC member Talari Rangaiah, speaking at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, lambasted the coalition government for endangering Andhra Pradesh’s industrial and social fabric. He criticised coalition leaders for extorting industrialists, including Kia in Rayalaseema, with demands for contracts, commissions, and jobs, risking factory closures and relocations. “This is not CM Chandrababu Naidu’s promised visionary governance,” Rangaiah declared, that the coalition plunders state resources like sand, quartz, liquor, while stifling wealth creation. He condemned the government for favoring party loyalists in welfare schemes, betraying the oath of impartiality.
Pension beneficiaries are declining monthly, and field assistants, animators, and contractors face removal, contradicting job creation promises. Rangaiah contrasted this with YSRCP’s transparent welfare delivery under YS Jagan, which empowered the poor via direct benefit transfers, free of corruption, using merit-based systems like Poverty Identification of Poor (PIP). He criticized the coalition’s new ‘PPP’ model as a deceptive tactic to exclude non-aligned citizens from benefits. “This corrupt governance threatens industries and impoverishes citizens,” Rangaiah asserted, urging immediate action to safeguard Andhra Pradesh’s economic and social future.
