Supporters of MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan who recently joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) were attacked by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadre on Tuesday. With key leaders leaving the TDP, the party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu seems worried as to who will leave the party fold in the coming days.
Unable to gauge his party leaders next moves or stop the ones who have left or change their mind, the TDP leaders are resorting to violent methods to threaten the leaders and their followers. In a recent attack , supporters of former TDP MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan were attacked by the TDP cadre in Chirala.
Stones were pelted on Amanchi followers, who were present there to attend the Grama Sabha meeting. They hurled abuses at the MLA’s followers and later attacked them with stones and four YSRCP supporters were severely injured.
While TDP leaders like Anakapalli MP Avanthi Srinivas, Amalapuram MP Ravindra Babu, Rajampet MLA Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy and Allagadda TDP leader Irigala Rama Pulla Reddy have joined the YSRCP in the presence of the leader of opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Chandrababu’s own co-brother D Venkateswara Rao and Industrialist Dasari Jai Ramesh have expressed their desire to work with the people’s leader, which shows the clear dissent in the party cadre and in Chandrababu's home front.
