Orders Ready for Chandrababu's Thirst for Land

Chandrababu and his coterie are  stepping forward  in the direction of  swallowing the lands in the state. After the episode of  forceful land acquisition  in the capital area, the Government has  raised curtains for yet another such episode in the name of Bunder port. It is getting ready for huge land pooling in 28 villages along with Machilipatnam in Krishna district in the name of the port and industrial development.
The municipal department has issued orders to Machilipatnam Urban Development Authority for land pooling similar to that happened in the capital area. A 16-page GO has been issued mentioning the guidelines for land pooling but the Government failed to clearly mention in it how many acres to be acquired. It was mentioned in the orders that the land pooling was being taken up according to AP Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authority act 2016 and for the purpose of Machilipatnam port, industrial corridor's development and arrangement of plots. The chief secretary of municipal department informed that 27 villages in Machilipatnam mandal and Bunder municipality as well as 1 village from pedana Mandal had been included in the land pooling plan.
Machilipatnam Urban Development Authority will issue notification (form 1) asking for objections and suggestions regarding the land pooling. The owners may submit objections and suggestions (form 2) within 15 days. Then, Machilipatnam Urban Development Authority will issue form 3, requesting acceptance letters from the owners for the land pooling. It will notify which lands under which survey numbers in which areas would be pooled. After taking into consideration the objections and the suggestions received from owners of the lands, the Government will issue form 4 within 15 days, which required modifications. Then within 15 days the final notification (form 5) will be declared.
The land pooling information will be made ready in 180 days and notices will be issued to the owners of the lands. The lands will be acquired from the owners within 30 days of the notification's release. Those who give away their lands will be granted plots in the residential and commercial areas of the Urban Development Authority with the registration fees being waived.
