AP VOAs & Sangamitras Honorarium Enhanced To Rs 10,000

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Government has enhanced the honorarium of animators, Sanghamitras and Village Organization Assistants (VOAs) along with SLF/TLFs to Rs 10,000 from Rs 2,000 per month, which marks the fulfillment of one more promise made by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during his Padayatra.
The Government has issued two GOs to this effect here on Monday by the Rural Development Department and Municipal Administration Department.
The honorarium of animators, Sanghamitras and the VOAs, working under the Rural Development Department besides SLFs/TLF (Slum Level Federation/Town Level Federation), working under the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department was cleared by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday.
The Village Organization Assistants/Sangamitras/Animators render services at the village level and their honorarium is paid from the income of the Village Organization, while SLF/TLF Resource Persons render services at slums and their service charges come from the income of the SLF/TLFs.
During his 3,648 km Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured that the Government would enhance the honorarium of the SLF/TLF Resource Persons, animators, Sanghamitras and the VOAs to Rs.10,000/- per month and this is one more promise which the chief minister has kept.
The Mission Director, Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA), at Guntur will take further necessary action in the matter accordingly.
