Satya Sai District, May 13: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has consoled the family members of martyred Murali Naik at their residence in a highly emotive atmosphere where the parents broke down on several occasions and a pall of gloom descended over the small living room of the brave heart.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy mingled with the family and squatted on the floor of the small room after paying tributes to the martyred soldier. He visited the tiny Kallithanda of Goruntla mandal of the district near here on Tuesday.

He announced an exgratia of Rs 25, 00,000 on behalf of the Party and said the tradition of honouring soldiers who lay their lives in line of duty by giving an exgratia of RS 50, 00,000 was started by YSRCP government which is being followed since then.
The parents of Murali Naik on several occasions broke down while narrating the memories of their child and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy gave a patient hearing and said soothing words to the bereaved couple that was in deep sorrow.
On numerous occasions he provided the much needed arm to console the wailing parents and it was an emotive scene that enfolded in the small room which was filled to the brim by the martyr’s family members, friends and well-wishers.
They poured their heart out about the delicate moments of Murali and spoke with welling tears to which YS Jagan responded with humility an act which to which the onlookers were overawed.

He also met the members who gathered at the house and were introduced by the Naik family. They shook hands and exchanged a few words and he took leave from the room and the room rent an air of mourning as he walked out with folded hands and extended the wishes to the crowd standing outside to have a glimpse of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Later, in his brief address, he said that the spirit of Murali Naik lives on as the supreme sacrifice stands a testimony to the call of duty. Though young in age, the Martyr will be a source of inspiration to many and laying down life for the safe keep of the country is act of valour and honour. People will be indebted to the sacrifice of Murali Naik, he said.
