*Why fear a CBI probe on DSC?: Vangaveeti*

Tadepalli, August 27: YSRCP State spokesperson Vangaveeti Narendra questioned why the coalition government was refusing a CBI investigation into the irregularities surrounding DSC-2025 despite YS Jagan Mohan Reddy placed documentary evidence and specific questions before the public.
Narendra said the government was avoiding the central issue of whether the DSC question paper was leaked and must explain how a person connected with the question-paper process was allowed to appear for the examination, how Naveen figured in the merit list and later disappeared from the final list, and why the government’s explanations over his certificate verification and court case were contradictory. “If the government is confident that no wrongdoing took place, why is it afraid of a CBI probe?” he asked.
He said serious questions also remained over Sports Quota selections. The government must explain whether genuine gold medallists were overlooked while candidates with participation certificates were selected, how many appointments were made on certificates issued through Softball and Judo associations, and how candidates with questionable eligibility documents entered the selection process. He said these were not political slogans but issues supported by documents placed in the public domain.
Narendra reiterated that Y.S. Jagan was ready for a CBI investigation into APPSC Group-I recruitment and challenged the government to show the same confidence by agreeing to a CBI probe into DSC. “If you want the truth on APPSC, investigate it. But the same standard must apply to DSC,” he said.
He said Chandrababu Naidu was more concerned with protecting his son than answering unemployed youth who had prepared for years for government jobs. YSRCP would continue to stand with DSC candidates until an independent investigation was ordered and justice delivered, he said, adding that those responsible for wrongdoing would eventually have to face the law.
