New Delhi, August 27: YSRCP MP Maddila Gurumoorthy has written to the Indian High Commissioner in Nepal and External Affairs Minister Jaishankar Subramanian to extend all help to the people of Andhra Pradesh affected by the heavy floods.
In separate letters, MP M Gurumoorthy has appealed to the high offices to ensure that people from AP get immediate and needy medical attention on a priority basis.
He also urged the Offices to ensure the safety and return of those stranded in Nepal following heavy floods.
This apart, the High Offices should continue its rescue operations to identify the missing persons and send them back home, he said in the letter.
According to information reaching the MP's office, a private traveller has ferried 26 passengers, 14 from Visakhapatnam and 12 from Telangana and they were in a safe zone.
They are in Kathmandu and awaiting return and the MP has urged the High Offices to ensure their return.
