YSRCP seeks DGP appointment

Tadepalli, May 12: YSR Congress Party has sought an appointment with the DGP to submit a memorandum regarding the complete breakdown of law and order, as well as ongoing illegal arrests and harassment by police in the State.
YSRCP MLCs Lella Appi Reddy and Varudu Kalyani, in a letter submitted by party representatives to the DGP’s office, highlighted the deteriorating state of peace and security, particularly citing an incident where a Circle Inspector allegedly mistreated former minister Vidadala Rajani.
The letter states that police harassment and illegal arrests targeting the opposition are becoming a threat to the survival of the democratic system and are unequivocally violating citizens’ rights. The YSRCP has urged the DGP to grant an appointment to discuss these issues and submit their memorandum.
