Vijayamma unveils Padayatra theme song

Ahead of the Maro Praja
Prasthanam Padayatra to be undertaken by YSRCP Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s
sister Sharmila from Oct 18, party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma unveiled
the Yatra’s theme song in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The theme song,
beginning with the inspiring stanza ‘Vastunnai Vastunnai ..Avigo Jagannadha
Radha Chakralostunnai..’ elucidates
the very purpose of Sharmila’s Yatra. The lyric was penned by well known
Tollywood lyricist Anantha Sriram and tuned by famous music director
Vandemataram Srinivas.

Speaking on the
occasion, Anantha Sriram said he has penned the theme song taking inspiration from
the legendary poet Sri Sri’s writings. “YSR undertook the Praja Prasthanam
Yatra and brought the Congress party into power. Now, his daughter Sharmila has
decided to undertake Maro Praja Prasthanam with the sole aim of saving the
state from the present crisis,” he said.

The making of the theme
song was supervised by former MP Hari Rama Jogaiah and writer Rajendra Kumar.

Ambulance
service inaugurated

Vijayamma also
inaugurated an ambulance service that will accompany the Yatra from Idupulapaya
to Ichchapuram.

The service was
arranged by the Doctors’ Wing of the Party, Hanuman Junction with the active
cooperation of Dr.Dutta Santhi Vardhan Trust.

The programme was also
attended by party leaders YV Subba Reddy, DA Somayajulu and MV Mysooora Reddy.
