Vijayamma expresses ire over Delhi rape

Dt) April 20, 2013: Protesting against the brutal sexual assault on a five year
old girl in Delhi, Smt. Y. S. Sharmila staged a sit-in on Saturday here and
prayed for the speedy recovery of the girl who has been battling for life in the
Capital’s Safdarjang hospital.

YSR Congress Party
honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma also joined the silent protest wearing black
badges. Hundreds of followers have also participated in the protest programme
which had taken place before Smt. Sharmila resumed her Maro Praja Prasthanam
Padayatra on the 126^th day.

Penuganchiprolu and
Makkipadu villages are scheduled to be covered during the day’s Padayatra
spanning over a distance of 13.8 km.
