Or will Chandrababu protect his son’s ministerial post, asks YS Jagan
Tadepalli: YSRCP president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy questioned whether Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh would resign from his post, taking moral responsibility for the alleged irregularities in the conduct of the DSC examinations that have put the future of nearly 3.5 lakh teacher aspirants at stake.
Taking to social media, YS Jagan drew a comparison with the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, stating that he had stepped down taking moral responsibility for the NEET question paper leak.
“The Union Education Minister resigned taking moral responsibility for the NEET question paper leak. This stands as a reflection of the ethics, accountability and responsible governance claimed by the NDA coalition government,” Jagan stated.
Will the Same Standards Apply in Andhra Pradesh?
Jagan questioned whether the same standards of accountability would be followed by the NDA coalition government in Andhra Pradesh.
“Now, we are asking the same question in Andhra Pradesh. With the future of nearly 3.5 lakh teacher aspirants at stake, will Nara Lokesh, who is the Education Minister in the same NDA coalition government in the State, take moral responsibility for the endless irregularities in the conduct of the DSC examinations and resign from his post?” Jagan asked.
Lokesh’s Post or NDA’s Values?
Jagan further questioned whether Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would uphold the standards, values and accountability that the NDA government claims to represent or protect his son’s ministerial position.
“Will Nara Lokesh resign, or will Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu bury the very standards, values and accountability that the NDA government boasts about just to protect his son’s post?” Jagan questioned.
The YSRCP chief sought accountability from the State government over the DSC examination controversy, maintaining that the concerns surrounding the recruitment process directly affect the future of lakhs of teacher aspirants.
