Hyderabad, July 25: YSRCP National Spokesperson Karthik Yallapragada on Saturday demanded the immediate resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh and a CBI probe into the alleged large-scale irregularities in the DSC recruitment process.
Karthik said that if the Union Education Minister could accept moral responsibility in the wake of an examination controversy, Nara Lokesh should also take responsibility for the serious allegations surrounding the DSC recruitment process.
He stated that digital evidence, documents, phone recordings and other material pointing to the alleged irregularities had already been placed in the public domain. Despite this, he alleged, the State Government had neither ordered an independent investigation nor initiated any digital forensic analysis.
He said that around 3.5 lakh DSC aspirants had spent years preparing for the examination and deserved justice instead of silence. He also alleged abuse of the sports quota, conflict of interest in the conduct of the examination and attempts to suppress crucial evidence.
Karthik demanded the immediate resignation of Nara Lokesh, a CBI or independent agency probe into the allegations, and a thorough investigation to uncover the truth.
