Unkept Promises Mark Four Years Of TDP Govt

Hyderabad: The Chandrababu Naidu government has constructed four temporary secretariats in four years and never finalised a plan for the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP MLA Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said.
Addressing the media here on Tuesday, he said each time the chief minister visits a new foreign city he describes that Amaravati will be constructed on those lines which is a clear case of duping the people and wasting public money. "Chandrababu visited Japan, Singapore, London and Malaysia and stated that the new capital city will be constructed like the foreign city. The people want to know why does it take four years to finalise the city plan? Why is the state government wasting public money in constructing temporary secretariats where government employees are facing hardships," Rajendranath Reddy questioned on the occasion.
"The YSRCP has said on several occasions that 5,000 acres of land is sufficient for the capital city but the chief minister called for over one lakh acres of land. When we questioned on him on the issue, he blamed that we are against construction of the new capital city," he said.
The four years of TDP government is filled with unkept promises and projects which are non-starters such as Polavaram, Visakhapatnam special railway zone, Vizag-Chennai railway corridor, special status for AP and Duggarajupatnam port to name a few, MLA Buggana Rajendranath Reddy added.
