Sharmila fumes at CBI’s delaying tactics

Mangalagiri, March 25,
2013: Charging CBI with implementing the hidden agenda of Congress and TDP and
obstructing bail for YSR Congress party Chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy,
Smt.Y.S.Sharmila came down heavily on the central investigating agency for
announcing that investigation has not yet been completed in his case.

Addressing a mammoth
public meeting at Mangalagiri town in Guntur district on the eve of completing
100 days of her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra on Sunday, Smt. Sharmila said
that despite the Supreme Court orders to complete the probe by March 31, the
CBI has been dragging its feet in filing the final charge sheet in the case
only to prolong the judicial remand of Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Every time Sri Jagan
Mohan Reddy is hopeful of getting bail, Union Minister Chidambaram and TDP
Chief Chandrababu Naidu have been ensuring that bail is denied to him in courts,
she remarked.

Faulting the CBI JD
Lakshminarayana’s statement after questioning KVP that there was no deadline
for submitting the final charge sheet and more time was needed for completing
the probe, Smt. Sharmila fumed at CBI: “What have been doing all these days in
the wake of the SC orders 6 months ago to complete the probe by this month end?
Have you been grazing cattle without attending to the process of investigation?”

Saying that when Rajiv
Gandhi died, his name was removed from the list of accused in Bofors case while
Dr. YSR’s name was included in the FIR in Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy case, Smt.
Sharmila said CBI acted under political pressure to defame the YSR family.
