He demanded immediate release of the arrested students and urged the government to address their demands without delay, including providing permanent registrations without further harassment.
Tadepalli, July 1: YSRCP leader and former minister Adimulapu Suresh strongly condemned the police action against medical students on Doctors’ Day. He said the TDP-led coalition government acted in a ruthless and insensitive manner towards students who completed medical education abroad.
He questioned why the government was delaying permanent registration for students who cleared the MCA exams, completed internships, and fulfilled all eligibility criteria. He asked whether sending children abroad for medical education was a crime when there were not enough seats in the state.
Suresh criticized the health minister for threatening the students instead of solving their issues. He recalled that the same government blocked medical colleges during the YSRCP term and rejected additional seats offered by the Centre, pushing medical education into the hands of private players.
He demanded immediate release of the arrested students and urged the government to address their demands without delay, including providing permanent registrations without further harassment.
