*YSRCP seeks CBI probe into DSC, constable recruitments*

Tadepalli, September 7, 2026: YSRCP Students’ Wing leaders demanded a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in DSC and police constable recruitments, accusing the coalition government of concealing selection details and manipulating the recruitment process.
Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office, Students’ Wing State President Panuganti Chaitanya and Working President Ravichandra said evidence of DSC irregularities was emerging continuously and similar questions had now surfaced over constable recruitment.
They said the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government had issued notification for 6,100 constable posts. Of 5,03,486 applicants, 4,59,182 appeared for the preliminary examination. The recruitment was delayed due to the Graduate MLC election code and court cases, they said.
The leaders questioned why the present government released the constable selection list with only registration numbers and names, while earlier lists included marks, category, date of birth and physical-test details. They demanded publication of complete details of all 38,914 candidates who appeared for the final written examination.
They also sought an explanation for increasing the sports quota from 2% to 3% and adding 79 backlog posts allegedly absent from the original notification.
Referring to DSC, they questioned alleged selections involving candidates linked to an SCERT member’s university, around 600 selections from one Ongole institute and 24 sports-quota appointments from a single Kurnool mandal.
They demanded a CBI probe, Nara Lokesh’s resignation and immediate notification for the 20,000 new constable posts promised in the Assembly. They also condemned alleged blocking of media and social-media platforms reporting recruitment irregularities and vowed to continue their agitation until unemployed youth receive justice.
