Ravela betrays Dalits

  • Purchased land: 55 acres
  • Cost price: Rs.5.5 crores
  • Present value: Rs.82.5 crores
  • Binami: Ravela Santhi jyothi
  • Social welfare minister Ravela Kishore babu is competing with his fellow ministers in acquiring assigned lands around the new capital city. While other ministers are performing the act with the use of binami names, Ravela resorted to finish the business directly with his wife Ravela Santhi jyothi’s name, thus mocking assigned land act. Majority of the lands were under the names of Dalit farmers. Ravela, who is supposed to preserve the rights of the Dalits deceived them by spreading news that assigned lands would taken by the Government for free and scaring the farmers. Thereby he bought each acre of land for a price of Rs. 10 lakhs to Rs.15 lakhs.

Tenali Ruben of Kuragallu in Mangalagiri mandal had 0.83 acres of assigned land under survey number 563/3. His whole family was dependent on this property. Minister Ravela bought this land with his wife’s name and got it registered at Mangalagiri’s registration office on the 5th of August in 2015. He procured almost 25 acres of assigned land as General Power of Attorney (GPA). Under the name of Mytri Infra belonging to his close friend Tella Srinivasa Rao, Ravella bought 0.75 acres of land under survey number 613/2 at Navulur of Mangalagiri mandal and got it registered on the 16th of October in 2015. Ultimately, he bought almost 55 acres of land with his wife’s and Mytri Infra’s names.
