Padayatra to highlight govt failures

Anantapur: YSR Congress Party Singanmala constituency coordinator Padmavathi is heading for ‘Melukolupu Padayatra’ (Awakening march) to highlight the failures of the government in general with specific reference to the constituency. 

Party's Anantapur district incharge Shankar Narayana and MLA Y Visweswara Reddy said that she will undertake padayatra from May 26 to June 4 and cove nearly 150 kilometers.

Wall posters and hand bills explaining the government failures were released today in the district party office in Anantapur. 

Speaking on the occasion, party leaders Visveswara Reddy, Sankaranarayana and others charged the government of neglecting the irrigation facility in the constituency. About 28 TMCs of Handri-Neeva water was wasted ignoring the public demand to divert them HLC ayacut. Because of government’s ill planning farmers in Singanmala constituency were badly affected, the YSRCP leaders alleged.

Meanwhile, Padmavathi said that that she will highlight the government failure in keeping its promises and enlighten the people. While YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to help the people on all possible ways, the TDP government is indulging in anti – people policies. All the issues will be highlighted during Padayatra, she added.
