*Dalits will bury coalition rule: YSRCP*

Tadepalli, July 7: YSRCP SC Cell leaders strongly condemned the growing attacks and police harassment against Dalits under the coalition government, stating that the arrest and torture of party State Joint Secretary Sringarapati Sandeep is the latest proof of the government’s anti-Dalit attitude.
After being arrested by Thullur police at Kaza toll plaza in Guntur district and granted bail by the court, Sandeep reached the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli and addressed the media along with SC Cell leaders. He said Mandadam DSP Muralikrishna and Thullur police have been harassing his family for nearly a month because he exposed corruption in Amaravati. He said he was taken away without notice, beaten by police in plain clothes, his phone was broken, and his family was not informed about his arrest. Even when his parents and lawyers reached the police station, they were not allowed to meet him.
Sandeep said the police covered his face with a black cloth and branded him like a criminal though there were no new cases against him. Old social media cases are being misused by changing sections only to harass him, he said. He made it clear that such intimidation will not silence him and announced that he will approach the High Court against the police excesses.

YSRCP Publicity Wing President Kakumanu Rajasekhar said even the legal team was denied access to Sandeep after his arrest. He said police tried to alter sections to prevent bail, but the court rejected the illegal sections and granted bail. Referring to the Kranthi Kumar suicide, he said police delayed the case for 15 days despite CI Nagaraju’s harassment, while cases are filed instantly when YSRCP leaders question the Home Minister. He said this is an anti-Dalit coalition government and Dalits themselves will bury it politically.
