Pulivendula, YSR District, 07 July: YSR Congress Party President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy arrived in Pulivendula on a two-day visit to participate in the birth anniversary observances of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. After reaching his camp office at Bhakarapuram, he held a Praja Darbar, where he received petitions from people, party workers, youth, and representatives of various sections who turned up in large numbers to present their grievances.
During the interaction, several people informed Y.S. Jagan that welfare benefits were not reaching eligible beneficiaries, new pensions were not being sanctioned, and schemes such as fee reimbursement had come to a standstill. Listening patiently to every representation, Y.S. Jagan assured them that the YSR Congress Party would continue to fight for issues affecting the poor, students, senior citizens, and all deserving beneficiaries. He reiterated that justice would be ensured for every eligible person.
Representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Federation of Teachers' Associations (FAPTO), YSR Kadapa district, also met Y.S. Jagan and submitted a memorandum seeking exemption for in-service teachers from the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and requesting amendments to the Right to Education Act. After hearing their concerns, Y.S. Jagan assured them that YSRCP Members of Parliament would take up the issue with the Union Government and meet Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to seek a resolution.
On Tuesday, Y.S. Jagan will visit Idupulapaya to offer special prayers and pay floral tributes at the YSR Ghat on the birth anniversary of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
