*Education sector being neglected by coalition*

Tadepalli, July 10: YSRCP has reiterated that the education sector is in a shambles with the study material not being distributed even one month after the schools reopened and the coalition government schools being neglected to favour corporate houses. 
Speaking to media here on Friday, former education minister Adimulapu Suresh said that the books, uniform and shoes are not yet given to students even one month after reopening of schools and the reforms brought in by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were done away with and the coalition is forcing students to look towards corporate schools. 
Even the number of students has come down due to the neglect of the coalition government and Education Minister Nara Lokesh does not deserve to hold the portfolio. The dropout rate has significantly increased with the student strength coming down from 43 lakhs to 30 lakhs which shows the neglect of education sector by the coalition government, he said.   
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was very particular about Goru Muddha and other schemes including Nadu Nedu which were systematically downsized or done away with. We have brought 44,000 schools under Nadu Nedu with 11 items including compound wall, toilets, running water, furniture and the like. 
All the reforms were shelved and the English medium, digital class rooms, subject teacher and all the concepts were discontinued.
The education system and schools are going back to the 2014 scenario where private players are being favoured at the cost of government schools. 
The irregularities in DSC has brought to the fore the compromise and nepotism of the coalition government, he said.
