No takers for Chandrababu's empty slogans

Hyderabad: Reiterating that Chandrababu Naidu has been deriding every democratic and constitutional institution in the state, YSR Congress has said that such a posing on the national scene claiming to 'Save Democracy' is ridiculous. There would be hardly any takers for Chandrababu's empty slogans, he said. Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, party spokesperson E Rajasekhara Reddy said, ‘the rampant corruption in the state along with violations of democratic and constitutional norms have been raising a stink in the state while Chandrababu Naidu has been shamelessly going round the country with the slogan of Save Democracy.
The new drama only shows that he is convinced that he would be rejected at the hustings in the 2019 elections and the fear has sent shock waves in his camp forcing him to look for outside help and glamour.’ A person who could not safeguard the interests of the state during the four years during which he was the coalition partner of NDA, now speaking of national interests only shows his lack of sincerity, he said. Four senior bureaucrats have charged Chandrababu Naidu with rampant corruption and lack of morals besides allocating Rs 700 cores to a single media house seeking self promotion and irregularities in the NREGs scheme to the tune of Rs 7000 crores.
He had also given away prime land worth Rs 450 crores at throwaway prices at Rs 45 lakhs to his coterie and has been silent on serious charges levelled by the retired officials. He has turned the capital city formation into a corporation and has been indulging in insider trading, putting the poor farmers to hardships, he said. As people are vexed with the corrupt practices of Chandrababu Naidu they would be teaching him a fitting lesson in the 2019 elections and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be given the mandate by the people of AP, he said.
