No Special status to the state

Hyderabad) Union Government wrote a letter to Leader of opposition and President of YSRCP YS Jagan on special status. Asin Datta, Deputy secretary to the Government of India wrote this letter from Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He stated that there is no chance to give special status to Andhra Pradesh.

The Planning Commission accords special category status to a state based n specific criteria. As the state of Andhra Pradesh cannot be distinguished by any of the criteria, therefore, at present no special package of industrial incentive can be considered. However the state may like to get benefited under the Central Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme.
