Murder of democracy in AP

New Delhi: Leader of the Opposition in AP Assembly and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday met President Pranab Mukherjee in  New Delhi and sought his immediate intervention on disqualification of YSRC MLAs who were inducted into the state Cabinet by Chandrababu Naidu.

The YSRCP chief along with a delegation of party leaders met president Pranab Mukherjee. During his meeting with the President, YS Jagan highlighted the unethical practice of making defectors ministers without their resigning the post they got from their mother party.

Speaking to the media after meeting the President, YS Jagan said " Chandrababu gave ministries to YSRCP turncoats even through defection cases are still pending against them. If this is allowed, then democratic values would be imperiled. TDP is deeply corrupt and that it is using the corrupt money to buy off MLAs. This has been proved in the case of Cash For Vote scam," YS Jagan said.

He further said that he would meet all the leaders who can influence the ruling BJP at the centre and try to convince them about the unethical practices of the TDP Government.

Party MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, Vijaya Sai Reddy, Vara Prasad, YS Avinash Reddy and MLA Raghupati accompanied YS Jagan.
He also submitted a memorandum to the President demanding action against the TDP government for providing Cabinet berths to four turncoat YSRCP MLAs.
