Kodali Nani, Uppuleti Kalpana join YSRC

Pamarru (Krishna district), Sept 13: Gudivada TDP MLA Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao alias Nani, former TDP leader and prominent Dalit leader from Pamarru Uppuleti Kalpana, former Zilla Parishad chairman Kukkala Nageswara Rao from Movva, industrialist Vaka Vasudeva Rao from Pedana Assembly constituency and several ZPTC and MPTC members joined the YSR Congress Party along with hundreds of their followers on Wednesday here.

After joining the party in the presence of YSR Congress honourary president YS Vijayamma who addressed a mammoth public meeting, Nani said he was happy to join the party led by YS Jaganmohan Reddy who had guts and wits to take on the errant Congress leadership.

Nani said the TDP suspended him from the party when she made a courtesy call on Vijayamma to show sympathy to the family when Jagan was arrested and jailed. “TDP which failed to win even a single seat in the by elections carried out a false propaganda against me that I sold off myself to the YSR Congress,” Nani said, adding that people would not believe Chandrababu anymore.

Kalpana and Nageswara Rao said that people are fed up with both Congress and the TDP and people will teach a fitting lesson to them in the next elections.
