Do not side-step poll promises: YS Jagan

Mangalagiri (Guntur dist), In a blistering attack on the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his failure in implementing the poll promises and his feeble attempt to disown his own words, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the people's ire will rise like a tempest and sweep him in to oblivion for his turn-around and we will not give up the pursuit.

"One year after he has failed to implement even a single poll promises, as coincidence would have it, he stated in a public meeting at West Godavari district that the assurances were given while the state was united and not for the divided state which is ridiculous, " YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said rounding off his two-day Samara Deeksha here on Thursday.

It is a shameful act on part of Chandrababu Naidu who made a meek attempt to distance himself from the poll promises by telling that they were made while the state was united which shows the deception and dubious nature of the TDP leader who is known for his double speak.  He has released two manifestos before the elections incorporating all the assurances.

To nail the TDP President's  lies, the Leader of Opposition has shown clippings of Chandrababu Naidu's electioneering  during which he has given promises of unconditionally waiving all agriculture and DWACRA loans,  supported by advertisements released to media. One job per family or unemployment stipend and special status clippings were also shown which drew a huge round of applause from the mammoth gathering. Chandrababu Naidu, before and after the polls was the theme of the audio visual presentation.

"The Chief Minister, who now tells that he gave the assurance while the state was united and wanted to distance himself from promises, had written a letter to the Election Commission that he has done the arithmetic and will implement all the poll promises as they are very much feasible. People will reject such a person who has the habit of changing tunes," he said.

During the one year in office, he did no waive the agriculture and DWACRA loans nor honour any of the poll promises and on special status issue, he does not raise his voice in the required decibels as he is afraid that it will attract the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Special status to the State will usher in industrial growth and economic generation but still, being a partner of NDA coalition, he never speaks on the issue and allows his MPs to continue in the Union cabinet which exposes his double standards, he said.

The fees reimbursement scheme has failed and students are bearing the brunt with the College management refusing to give certificates unless the dues are cleared and the Government not allotting funds for the scheme.

Multi-crop land is being acquired forcibly while Chandrababu Naidu's house and his assets are intact in Hyderabad.

Another incident  of  paradox with Chandrababu Naidu is that on the very same day, his party MLA Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed in the cash for vote case in Hyderabad, his administers a pledge to the children at Vijayawada to work for a corruption free state.

"TDP was prepared to shell down Rs 5 crores for one MLA and its take 18 MLA  votes to win on MLC  seat and going by the TDP calculation it costs Rs 90 crores for one seat that too in the neighbouring Telangana State. Where from  did the Party so much of money," he asked.

This is the third deeksha of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy against the unfulfilled promises of Chandrababu Naidu, after Visakhapatnam and Tanuku and said we will work in tandem to see that he does not skip away from the promises he has made.
