Chandrababu Singapore tour to revive his dubious contacts

Tadepalli, July 26: Chandrababu Naidu’s Singapore tour is aimed at reviving old ties with contacts who were steeped in corruption, YSRCP has said and rubbished the claim of strengthening bilateral ties.
Speaking to media here on Saturday, Party spokesperson Putta Sivashakar Reddy said Chandrababu has begun his old game of reviving ties with his people in Singapore, who have questionable credentials, and in the name of start-ups in the Amaravati capital region, his mission is to scout for people who will be sharing the spoils.
The terms of the contract were heavily loaded in favour of Singapore companies, with them getting a lion’s share of 58 percent, which shows that the tour is aimed not at farmers’ interests but his own, he said, adding that the Singapore company backed out after YSRCP came to power in 2019 fearing exposure.
His propaganda machinery has been trying hard to give a build-up, but the past haunts Chandrababu Naidu and his close friend, who was charged with serious cases in Singapore, and the purpose of the visit is being projected otherwise.
The propaganda that the relationship with Singapore was spoiled and that Chandrababu is trying to restore it is rubbish, as such a move is not in his purview. When investments are just a Zoom call away, where was the need for the tour accompanied by P Narayana, other than to revive his past network, he said.
During his earlier term, he and his friendly media projected that the deal was with the Singapore government, and when it was proved wrong and even the CAG mentioned it, they beat a hasty retreat.
