Hyderabad, Hitting out at TDP for criticizing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s mass contact programne in the capital area region, YSR Congress has said, the impatience of Chandrababu Naidu shows that people are against the land pooling.
“Ever since the Tanuku meeting, followed by the rousing response at Ananthapuram, to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy the Government is in the defensive and has been passing irrational remarks. However, the fight will not stop and will be intensified by standing with the farmers who are being cheated by the State in the name of land acquisition,” party spokesperson Tammineni Sitaram told reporters here on Monday.
“The Chief Minister has expressed restlessness by asking the people to question as to why YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is touring in the capital area region. The response the leader of opposition is getting is sending shivers down the spine of the State Government as the land is acquired by coercion and it will not stand the legal scrutiny.
The state itself has said that it has acquired 32,300 acres of land while experts say that the extent of land is much higher than what is required. Till now Chandrababu Naidu did not announce as to how much land is required but has gone on record that he will create a land bank of over one lakh acres.
While fertile lands are being taken away from farmers along with their livelihood, Chandrababu Naidu is trying to pass on the benefit to Multi National Companies and his coterie to do real estate business. We will not allow this and YSR Congress will stand by the farmers and fight for justice, he said.
Brushing aside the remarks of TDP Minister on the cases pending against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said, “Our leader boldly faced the inquiry unlike Chandrababu Naidu who took refuge under stay orders. Though many people, including me advised him to promise loan waiver our leader turned us down contending that we should not promise what we cannot fulfill and deceive the people.”.
