Call For State Bandh On Saturday

Hyderabad: In protest
against the behaviour of the central and the state Governments in the matter of
sanction of special category status to AP, the leader of opposition and YSRCP
president YS Jagan called for a state bandh on the day after tomorrow. He
called for the people of the state to make the bandh a success. On account of
the commencement of AP assembly sessions. The MLAs of YSRCP rallied from the
statue of Tanguturi Prakasam in Ravindra Bharati to AP assembly wearing black.


Speaking on this
occasion, YS Jagan mentioned that the Governments lacked commitment towards special
category status and were doing injustice to the state of AP just like they had
done at the time of bifurcation. Recollecting how cabinet finance minister Arun
Jaitley had indicated that the status would not be sanctioned to AP, he
explained how the status would benefit the state through tax exemptions and industrial
discounts. He informed how industries would be set up in great number and lakhs
of jobs would be available.


Stating that Arun
Jaitley had watered fown the hopes of the youth of AP, YS Jagan condemned
Chandrababu’s welcoming Arun Jaitley’s statement. Questioning how Babu could
game with the feelings of 5 crore people, he called for a state bandh on
Saturday in protest against the behaviour of Arun Jaitley and Chandrababu Naidu
in the matter of the status. He mentioned that he had spoken to the left
parties regarding the bandh. YS Jagan demanded that Chandrababu immediately
resigned to his post.
