Nakkapalli: YSRCP CGC member Veesam Ramakrishna called it a cowardly act to block the telecast of Sakshi channel that had been showcasing the true situation in the state. He slammed minister Chinarajappa for announcing that the telecast would not be resumed till Mudragada Padmanabham gave up his hunger strike. He stated that this kind of unjust control on the media had never happened in the state before. He also reminded that even the yellow media had never been blocked during the tenure of YSR. Speaking to the media at mandal quarters on Saturday, he reminded that TDP had promised to join Kapu community in BC category and remarked that there was no wrong in Mudragada's strike. He complained that the Government had unjustly arrested him and was attempting to suppress the movement.
Veesam Ramakrishna also slammed the arrest of Botsa Satyanarayana, Ambati Rambabu, Jaggireddy and other YSRCP leaders who had gone to comfort Mudragada at the hospital. He commented that TDP was looking down on Kapus. He demanded withdrawal of section 144 in Godavari districts and release of arrested YSRCP leaders.
