*YSR’s welfare legacy will guide YSRCP’s fight*

Tadepalli, July 8: YSR Congress Party leaders paid rich tributes to former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on his birth anniversary at the party central office in Tadepalli. State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, former ministers Jogi Ramesh, Vellampalli Srinivas, Sailajanath, former MP Nandigam Suresh, MLCs Lella Appi Reddy and Ruhulla, former MLA Sudhakar Babu and representatives of party wings offered floral tributes to YSR’s statue. The programme included cake cutting, distribution of clothes to the poor and a blood donation camp.

Leaders recalled YSR’s landmark welfare and development initiatives, including Aarogyasri, Fee Reimbursement, free power to farmers, 108 services, loan waiver and housing, stating that his governance created a historic “before YSR and after YSR” transformation in Andhra Pradesh. They said YSR stood like an elder son for crores of poor families and brought education, healthcare and dignity within their reach.

They stated that Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy carried forward YSR’s ideals with greater resolve through strengthened Aarogyasri, Amma Vodi, education and medical reforms, Cheyutha, Kapu Nestham and EBC Nestham. Criticising Chandrababu Naidu’s rule, the leaders said the State has slipped into darkness under the coalition government, with welfare weakened, illegal arrests rising and people facing repression. They asserted that YSRCP will continue its uncompromising fight in the spirit of YSR and under Y.S. Jagan’s leadership.
