*YSRCP condemns illegal arrest of Pudi Srihari, demands immediate release*

Tadepalli, April 15: YSRCP MLC Lella Appi Reddy strongly condemned the illegal arrest of Pudi Srihari, State General Secretary ( Media )of the YSRCP party, and termed it a serious attack on civil liberties.

He alleged that the TDP coalition government is resorting to vindictive politics by targeting YSRCP leaders and suppressing democratic rights.

He said that Srihari, who also serves as the CPRO of former Chief Minister and YSRCP party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, was forcibly taken away by police in plain clothes.

The police neither revealed their identity nor informed the reason for detention. Srihari was stopped on his way home after meeting Jagan Mohan Reddy and taken away without notice. His phone was seized, and he was not even allowed to return home.

Appi Reddy further stated that police later entered Srihari’s house without permission, conducted searches, and restricted entry even to party representatives. He called the entire episode unlawful and condemnable. He demanded that Pudi Srihari be released immediately and urged the government to stop such undemocratic actions.
