Tadepalli, May 14: Senior Congress leader from Repalle constituency in Guntur district, Mopidevi Srinivasa Rao, joined the YSR Congress Party along with his followers in the presence of former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party central office in Tadepalli. Hundreds of supporters accompanied Srinivasa Rao to the party office, where YS Jagan welcomed him into the party by draping the YSRCP scarf.
Speaking on the occasion, YS Jagan said Srinivasa Rao had joined the party not merely as a political leader, but as a member of the YSRCP family with trust and confidence in the party leadership. He stated that Srinivasa Rao had placed his political future in him and assured that justice and due recognition would be given to him in every possible manner. YS Jagan also appreciated Repalle constituency YSRCP in-charge Peeta Naga Mohana Krishna, describing him as an energetic young leader working hard for the party, and said everyone in the constituency should extend support to him. He added that Srinivasa Rao had taken responsibility to stand by Peeta Naga Mohana Krishna like a younger brother and work towards the party’s victory in Repalle.
YS Jagan said the party would never forget the goodwill and commitment shown by Srinivasa Rao and assured that he would be brought into the legislature once YSRCP returns to power. He thanked every supporter, activist, woman, and party worker who attended the programme with dedication towards strengthening the party.
YSRCP Guntur district president Ambati Rambabu, Repalle constituency in-charge Peeta Naga Mohana Krishna, former minister Merugu Nagarjuna, MLCs Lella Appi Reddy and Talashila Raghuram, along with several senior leaders, party workers, and supporters, participated in the programme.
