Tadepalli, July 22: YSRCP has condemned the derogatory statements made by MLA Bollisetty Srinivas. Putta Shivashankar launched a scathing attack TDP and its leadership, demanding accountability and immediate action. Addressing the media, Shivashankar condemned MLA Bolishetti Srinivas for his derogatory and unacceptable remarks against former Minister RK Roja, asserting that such comments are an affront to the dignity of women in public life. “MLA Bolishetti Srinivas must issue an immediate and unconditional apology to RK Roja and retract his offensive statements,” Shivashankar demanded, emphasizing that failure to do so would reflect the TDP’s disregard for respectful discourse.
Shivashankar further called out Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the TDP’s failure to implement the Aadabidda Nidhi scheme, a cornerstone of their election promises that assured financial aid of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 1.5 lakh for women across Andhra Pradesh. He expressed outrage at Minister Achchennaidu’s claim that fulfilling this scheme would require “selling the state,” questioning the TDP’s sincerity when making such promises. “If the TDP knew they couldn’t deliver, why did they mislead the people of Andhra Pradesh with such grandiose assurances?” Shivashankar asked, highlighting the betrayal felt by millions of women who believed in the TDP’s commitments.
TDP failed to deliver on all 143 election promises, including critical schemes like Annadata Sukhibhava, free bus travel for women, and unemployment allowances. Minister Achchennaidu’s claim that “all promises have been fulfilled” as a shameless misrepresentation of facts. TDP has already compromised the state’s interests by transferring assets to obscure entities, “Haven’t they already sold half the state to companies like Ursa, which no one has heard of?” Shivshankar challenged the TDP’s narrative that implementing welfare schemes requires further selling of state resources, calling it an admission of their governance failures.
Shivashankar demanded that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu step down for his administration’s inability to honor its commitments. He urged the TDP to prioritize the welfare of Andhra Pradesh’s citizens, particularly its women, and fulfill the promises made during the elections. The YSRCP will continue to hold the TDP accountable and fight for the rights and dignity of the people, Shivashankar concluded.
