Tirupati MP demands CBI probe into drugs case, slams TDP’s false allegations

Tirupati, June 3: YSRCP Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorthy has demanded a CBI probe into a serious drug trafficking case involving AR constable Gunasekhar, apprehended by Hyderabad Police.
In a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he demanded a thorough CBI investigation to uncover any systemic support enabling such crimes, emphasizing justice and transparency.
He strongly condemned TDP's baseless campaign linking him to the incident. “TDP’s practice of defaming opponents with false allegations through social media is deplorable. They must verify facts before slandering,” he stated.
Gunasekhar, his former gunman was relieved from his service long ago and now serves in the police department in Tirupati, he clarified.
“How is it fair to blame me for crimes committed under TDP’s watch?” he questioned. Highlighting TDP’s failure to curb drugs within their promised 100 days, Gurumoorthy noted the involvement of their police personnel.
“I challenge TDP to an open debate and will fight relentlessly to expose the truth,” he asserted.
