Nara Lokesh failed as Education Minister, must resign for exam evaluation debacle
02 Jun 2025 5:45 PM

Tadepalli, June 2: YSRCP Spokesperson Putta Shivashankar declares that Education Minister Nara Lokesh has failed in his duties due to the catastrophic mismanagement in the evaluation of tenth-class examination papers.
This grave oversight has jeopardized the futures of thousands of students, marking an unforgivable lapse in leadership. Instead of accepting responsibility, the Minister’s attempts to deflect criticism with counterattacks are disgraceful and unacceptable. The tenth class is a critical juncture in a student’s life, demanding meticulous care in evaluating answer sheets. Yet, the government’s reckless decision to rush corrections within a week, without increasing the number of evaluators, resulted in widespread errors. Thousands of students were unjustly failed due to low marks, with many securing significantly higher scores upon re-verification. This systemic failure has cast a shadow over countless young lives, and Minister Lokesh must be held accountable.
Putta Shivashankar demands that Minister Nara Lokesh issue an immediate public apology to the affected students and their families and resign from his position for failing to uphold the integrity of the education system. Furthermore, the Rs. 6 crore collected as re-verification fees must be refunded promptly, as it is unjust to burden students for the administration’s incompetence. Attempts to obscure this failure through misleading media narratives will not be tolerated. The government must prioritize student welfare, ensure transparency in education processes, and implement robust reforms to prevent such failures in the future. The youth of Andhra Pradesh deserve an education system that champions their aspirations, not one that derails them.
