Rajamahendravaram, April 19,: YSRCP East Godavari District President and former Minister Chelluboyina Venu Gopala Krishna strongly criticized TDP senior leader Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary for making irresponsible and irrational statements, stating that he has lost restraint and is speaking without discretion. He stated that certain sections of the media, particularly ABN Andhra Jyothi head Radhakrishna, have become a “media mafia,” indulging in false propaganda to mislead the public, while acting as brokers for Chandrababu Naidu and stooping to unethical levels, including making objectionable remarks against women.
Venu Gopala Krishna asserted that YSRCP has always stood for peaceful protest and does not believe in violence, contrasting it with TDP’s history of attacks, including assaults on Sakshi offices. He alleged that whenever truths are exposed, threats to life emerge, and held Chandrababu Naidu responsible for fostering such an environment. He further stated that the state has a long history of political violence under TDP, recalling incidents from the killing of Mallela Babji to Vangaveeti Ranga, which people have not forgotten.
He accused the coalition government of increasing attacks on YSRCP leaders after coming to power, citing incidents such as petrol bomb attacks on the residence of Jogi Ramesh and assaults on former minister Ambati Rambabu’s house. He also alleged that there are deliberate attempts to falsely implicate YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Vivekananda Reddy murder case despite lack of evidence, and condemned the ongoing baseless propaganda against him.
Warning the ruling coalition leaders, Venu Gopala Krishna demanded an immediate stop to the smear campaigns against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that such malicious propaganda and false allegations will not be tolerated any further.
