TDP exploiting govt employees in Mahanadu
27 May 2025 5:44 PM

Hyderabad, May 27: YSRCP Employees and Pensioners Wing State President N. Chandrasekhar Reddy strongly condemned the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for deploying government employees in its Mahanadu event in YSR Kadapa district. In a blatant misuse of public resources, TDP has engaged numerous employees, particularly from the Revenue and Medical & Health Departments, in event-related tasks for nearly a week. The majority of these employees hail from Rayalaseema, with YSR district bearing the brunt of this exploitation. Reddy denounced this practice as unethical and unacceptable, emphasizing that government machinery should not be used for political party functions.
The issue escalated with a tragic incident at the Mahanadu venue, where two Village Revenue Officers (VROs) from YSR district suffered severe injuries due to collapsing cutouts. Expressing deep concern, Reddy questioned the government’s accountability, asking, “Who will take responsibility if these employees face life-threatening consequences?” He stressed that such incidents highlight the risks of involving public servants in party activities, undermining their safety and dignity.
Reddy called for immediate action to stop this misuse of government resources and urged authorities to ensure such practices are not repeated. He reiterated that leveraging public employees for political events is an improper and dangerous precedent that must be addressed to protect the welfare of government staff and uphold administrative integrity.
