SIT exposes lies on Tirumala Laddu, yet propaganda continues: Vellampalli

Tadepalli, Feb 8: Former minister Vellampalli Srinivas said the CBI-SIT chargesheet on the Tirumala laddu issue has exposed the false allegations made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and coalition leaders, yet they continue shameless propaganda. Speaking at the YSRCP camp office in Tadepalli, he stated that repeated claims about animal fat, pig fat, and fish oil in laddu ghee deeply hurt Hindu sentiments, and noted that the SIT chargesheet contains no evidence of animal fat.
He criticized the Chief Minister for not apologizing to devotees and instead making new allegations that toilet-cleaning chemicals were used in prasadam, calling it a malicious attempt to insult the sanctity of Tirumala. Srinivas accused coalition leaders of playing diversionary politics whenever public anger rises over governance failures, and alleged that those questioning the government face intimidation and attacks. He argued that after the SIT report, people understood the truth, and said even pro-government media resorted to edited videos and sensationalism to mislead the public. He also blamed the current TTD leadership for administrative failures and said the same period saw incidents like rejected ghee tankers re-entering the system and being used, which the CBI report itself documents.
Srinivas listed several temple-related incidents, accidents, and alleged desecrations during coalition rule to question their commitment to protecting Hindu institutions. He further accused Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan of “scripted politics,” saying his statements and positions on faith have been inconsistent and politically driven. Stressing that true devotees would not spread unverified claims that damage a sacred institution, Srinivas demanded that Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and coalition ministers apologize to the Hindu community and devotees, and stop using Lord Venkateswara and Tirumala for political battles. He maintained that faith should not be exploited for politics and that the SIT findings have already disproved the earlier sensational allegations.
