Tadepalli, August 20: YSRCP Employees and Pensioners Association State President Nalamaru Chandrashekhar Reddy lambasted the coalition government for its systemic mistreatment of public sector employees and police, eroding morale and fairness in Andhra Pradesh’s administration.
Chandrashekar condemned the unprecedented police dharna near Police Headquarters, triggered by gross neglect. “Since the coalition assumed power, officials perceived as YSRCP-aligned face unfair sidelining, with many police personnel languishing without postings, disrupting essential services,” he said. He criticized the humiliating daily sign-ins for VR employees, demanding immediate postings and salaries. “Even the DGP must prioritize colleagues’ welfare, not humiliation,” he urged.
Chandrashekar slammed the P4 policy’s burden on employees amid delayed subsidies, calling for MLAs and affluent TDP leaders to adopt 100 vulnerable families each instead. “Public servants deserve respect, not harassment,” he asserted.
He also demanded action against TDP MLA Kuna Ravi Kumar for sexual harassment of a Dalit female principal via inappropriate late-night calls, urging his immediate removal to restore trust. “The coalition promised employee welfare but delivers vendettas,” Chandrashekar said, noting unpaid dues, unfulfilled PRC promises, and stalled DA payments. He warned of escalating protests, including a “Chalo Vijayawada” on September 1, if promises remain unmet. Chandrashekar urged the government to end vindictive policies, ensure timely salaries, and protect employees, especially women, from harassment.
