YSRCP will fight anti-people policies of coalition

Rajahmundry, Aug 21: YSRCP will fight against the privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) and continue to highlight the failures of coalition government and the inefficiency of Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking to media here on Thursday, opposition leader in Council Botsa Satyanarayana said that former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has time and again told during electioneering that every vote to coalition is a vote for privatisation of VSP and it is coming true now.
Chandrababu Naidu has never spoken against the privatisation of VSP and during his Delhi trips has never broached the issue which shows that he is with the Centre’s policy of privatising the VSP, which has emotional attachment with the people of the State. We will join hands with any party that opposes privatisation.
The government has gone back or diluted all the poll promises and is bidding time by only slinging mud on YSRCP and our leader while glorifying its image through its friendly media and propaganda machinery, he said.
Governance itself has taken a backseat with corruption deterioration of law and order and rampant corruption besides harassing political opponents by foisting false cases has become order of the day.
All sections of people are in disarray with farmers, students and traders suffering under the coalition rule. Farmers did not receive the promised incentive and State’s share is still due. Such a situation never occurred when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was at the helm. In East Godavari district itself large number of farmers did not get the amount and state-wide the number would run in to lakhs, he said.
Land grabbing, atrocities on women and minors have increased alarmingly. The comparative data of five year term of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and 14 month Chandrababu Naidu term will show how things have deteriorated and the sufferings of people from all sections, he said.
Even the NREGA amount was not released which is a shameful act and bills are pending for over seven weeks. The coalition has promised to fill up all potholes in 100 days yet all roads are bumpy, midday meal quality has deteriorated and students are getting ill.
All this is due to lack of supervision and accountability as the leaders are busy in fulfilling their own agenda, he said adding that YSRCP under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will continue to take up public issues and will be voice of the people.
