YSRCP intensifies preparations for electoral roll revision, Party strengthening

Tadepalli, August 20: In a decisive teleconference, YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy directed regional coordinators, district presidents, parliamentary constituency observers, state general secretaries, MPs, MLAs, and constituency in-charges to prioritize the appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) amid the Election Commission's special intensive revision of electoral rolls. Asserting the need for vigilance, Sajjala emphasized that all party leaders must treat this as a core responsibility, ensuring BLAs coordinate closely with booth-level officers to monitor polling booth numbers, locations, and voter relocations. He highlighted examples like Anantapur district's addition of 330 polling booths, warning against complacency to safeguard voter lists effectively.

Sajjala mandated submission of BLA lists to the central office by August 31, urging the selection of capable and enthusiastic individuals. He further instructed appointing one senior leader per 20 booths to form task force teams for real-time oversight of changes. Coordinating with collectorates is essential, he stated, to provide timely suggestions and avoid last-minute hurdles. Additionally, Sajjala demanded immediate completion of the "Babu Surety Mosam Guarantee" program in pending areas and full appointment of party committees at village and mandal levels by month's end, asserting that robust grassroots structures will mobilize over 5,000 supporters per constituency and pave the way for electoral success.

"Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has already stressed alertness on this front," Sajjala said. "From now on, we must engage in micro-level planning with full awareness, as ground-level strength is key to victory."

Senior leader and Leader of Opposition Botsa Satyanarayana reinforced the call, urging adherence to party guidelines and district-level coordination with collectorates for enhanced effectiveness. "Let's review and advance unitedly," he added.
