CM Chandrababu Naidu govt's betrayal kills farmer Rama Rao

Guntur, Dec 26:YSRCP slammed the coalition government for cheating Amaravati farmers, stating that its land allotment policy led to the death of farmer D  Rama Rao, who collapsed after confronting minister Narayana over land acquisition issues and died while being shifted to the hospital.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Tadikonda in-charge Bala Vijaybabu said Rama Rao had given his land under the capital area development plan and was later cheated by the government through improper land allotments. Instead of developed plots as per the agreement, farmers were given land on tank beds, causing severe distress.
He said the farmer confronted a minister who was seeking additional land for laying a road and questioned where farmers would go if they were forced to surrender their remaining small holdings and houses. While expressing his anguish, Rama Rao collapsed at the spot and died while being shifted to the hospital.
The YSRCP demanded that the coalition government immediately honour the original land pooling agreements and allot land strictly as promised. He said it would stand with Amaravati farmers and fight against any form of cheating or forced displacement.
Bala Vijaybabu also criticised Pawan Kalyan, accusing him of becoming a puppet in the hands of the TDP, which he said is working to place Nara Lokesh in the Chief Minister’s chair.
