Chandrababu’s credit claims hollow, Pawan’s politics shameful: Ambati

Tadepalli, August 30: Former minister Ambati Rambabu launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, for misleading people on Polavaram, mismanaging key projects, and engaging in political theatrics instead of governance.
Rambabu said Chandrababu was taking undue credit for achievements that were not his, comparing his attitude to “enjoying the benefits of others’ hard work.” He stated that Naidu never cared for taking water to Rayalaseema, while former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy had initiated several projects as part of Jalayagnam, and YS Jagan had ensured water reached areas like Kuppam.
On Polavaram, Rambabu said the project was the most complex in the state and that a committee of foreign experts, set up during YS Jagan’s tenure, had clearly advised against constructing the diaphragm wall before completing the cofferdam. But Chandrababu ignored these warnings, resulting in severe damage to the project. Naidu is responsible for Polavaram’s setbacks, diaphragm wall was now being constructed without quality, which was a dangerous move.
Rambabu questioned why Chandrababu, who once frequently visited Polavaram, was now avoiding the project. He also asked why the state government had taken over what was supposed to be a central project, and why its construction had turned into an endless saga. He demanded that the current water resources minister come forward for an open discussion on the project.
He also took aim at Chandrababu’s residence issue, asking whether any chief minister should reside in an unauthorized building, both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan of making false allegations on the Rushikonda buildings. He said the buildings constructed there were far superior and unlike the Amaravati structures, but expressed suspicion over how a ceiling collapse was portrayed by yellow media.
On the Sugali Preethi case, Rambabu criticized Pawan Kalyan for not demanding a CBI probe or ensuring arrests of those responsible. Pawan used the tragedy for political vendetta against YS Jagan and said it was shameful that he had failed to deliver justice to the victim’s family.
Concluding, Rambabu said Pawan Kalyan risked remaining only a “commander of a Sena” without ever becoming a true leader, as his politics was reduced to serving Chandrababu’s interests.
