Visakhapatnam, June 23: YSRCP has slammed Chandrababu Naidu and the coalition for stooping to a new low to target the opposition and its leadership and condemned the manipulative politics and gross misuse of police.
Speaking to media here on Monday, leader in the Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayana said the flip-flop statements of the District SP shows how the coalition has been mounting pressure to revise statements and FIRs in the Palnadu visit incident.
On one hand it was an utter failure on part of the government in providing security to former Chief Minister and opposition leader with no rope party in place and police caught unawares about the incident in which our cadre Singayya died. Almost immediately, the SP had announced that a private vehicle had hit the person and it was not a vehicle from the former Chief Minister’s convoy. He also gave the number of the vehicle and the driver was taken to police station and given station bail.
On our part, we have deputed our leaders to take care of the deceased, consoled family members and also provided financial assistance.
Suddenly, Chandrababu and his friendly media started spinning stories and a new video surfaces and a new narrative was created and the same SP revises his earlier statement, changes the sections and includes new names, obviously due to the pressure mounted by higher ups.
This is the undemocratic manner in which Chandrababu Naidu and his friendly media have been creating stories targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and people close to him.
The flip-flop method applied in the Palnadu incident shows the murky politics being played by Chandrababu Naidu to contain the growing popularity of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. There was a gross failure of providing security to opposition leader on one hand and foisting false cases by hindsight shows the attitude of Chandrababu Naidu, he said.
We did not deny permission to Chandrababu Naidu or Pawan Kalyan while we were in office while Chandrababu is taking law into his hands and misusing police to settle political scores, he said.
There was extravaganza in conducting the Yoga Day and no substantial benefit to Vizag and the criticism on Rishikonda expenditure is no match as we have created an asset. We will fight till all the Super Six promises are fulfilled, he said.
