Amaravati: YSR Congress party General Secretary and senior leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy flayed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over Special Category Status(SCS) to the Andhra Pradesh.
He said Chandrababu’s dramatics has reached at its peaks with the Delhi protest, as Chandrababu has not fulfilled the promise he made, he should apologize to the people of AP.
Senior leader questioned why in the past four and half years Chandrababu has not broached the topic and all of a sudden, he started the series of dharma porata deeksha public meeting spending public money extravagantly?
Talking to the media at the party central office Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy pointed out that It was the same Chandrababu, who said SCS was not necessary and he even felicitated the Union government minister for granting SCS. As elections are fast approaching Chandrababu, is gripped in fear and his demand for SCS is a mere political stunt, he remarked.
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy observed that Congress and TDP were in a secret alliance before and now they are openly meeting. Referring to the public funds being utilized for the Chandrababu’s deekshas, a senior leader said, generally political parties arrange for funds on their own, but Chandrababu is using the public money for his personal political motives. He is not even paying the government employees regularly, he added.
Sajjala Ramakrishna demanded BJP, TDP, Janasena apologise to the people for not fulfilling the promise of SCS to AP. It has been almost 5 years since 2014 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced SCS to AP and Pawan Kalyan gave his assurance that it is his responsibility to get SCS to AP.
Senior YSRCP leader was reminded of Chandrababu’s statement asking if any state has benefited with the help of SCS, and added this same person is now protesting for SCS as the elections are around the corner.
Sajjala reiterated that Chandrababu should apologize for not fulfilling the SCS to AP promise and should accept that he is following leader of opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the matter of fight for SCS.
YSRCP senior leader pointed out that BJP, TDP is cut from the same cloth and by taking a look at their activities, it is evident that they are trying to hoodwink the people of AP.
Referring to the Guntur public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the speech it is indicating that both of them are together on, and are enacting the same drama. He questioned how he had not mentioned about SCS, while it was the most burning issue in the state.
Senior leader demanded Modi to order for an inquiry as he mentioned in his speech that large scale corruption was taking place in Polavaram project and Amaravati, and corruption is largely found in the funds granted by the Union government.
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy questioned Modi as to why the central government was silent on the huge and unnecessary loans being taken by Chandrababu.
